I decided to shop for a second choice for a Mother of the Groom
dress. I went to a different store and quickly found a spectacular assortment
of long dresses. I was anxious to try them on to see if they were as pretty on
as they were on the hanger. I wanted to conform to the long silver dress of the
bride's mother. I tried on several dresses that were dazzling. One dress was a
purple elegant gown that had one jeweled strap. I had thought the one strap
dress would make me uncomfortable, but this dress was a possibility. I tried on
a few dresses that did nothing for my figure. The dress I fell in love with was
a dark blue mermaid style with a nude top highlighted by jewels. The Adrianna
Papell dress seems to be a popular influence in the store inventory. The dress
hugs the body but has adequate ruching to make most women look attractive and
curvy.
The dress was an excellent choice, but I texted several people
to get their opinion. The general consensus was that this dress was more
exciting than the short burgundy dress I had chosen earlier. The sales
attendant suggested a silver shoe to match the jeweled dress with limited
jewelry.
I asked the saleswoman about using spanx to hide any flaws. She
said she did not know what I wanted to spanx and so I said thanks and left
smiling.
I went by Victoria Secret as I left the store. As I viewed the
multiple displays one of the sales clerks grabbed me. My sparkly black top was similar to a
black bra that was in stock. As she fumbled through the drawers of bras, she
finally pulled out a bra covered with sequins. It reminded me of a bra that
would be worn in the movie Striptease starring Demi Moore. I thanked her and
left the store as soon as possible. Instead of a sparkly bra I found silver
glitter heels for my dress. Now with some modest and classic jewelry I am ready
for the monumental event.
